Made of Maple and finished with CA glue. I saw Scrappys and decided to give this watchband style a shot. I still haven’t chosen a latching mechanism, but I do like the way it looks going all the way around the wrist …..be it though you are sacrificing comfort there.

Impressively delicate work. I’d love to see the catch when you’ve decided on one. Civilization is all about sacrificing comfort for style!

Not an easy build. Looks like a really nice job though. I assume you’re selling these, some ideas would be;
1. Somehow attaching a watch in it. Custom size the band to fit the individual
2. Mother’s bracelet. Figure out how to make links that will hold pictures of their kids. Top links for pictures then however many band links to finish.
3. Probably use darker more exotic looking wood. I Hate having to buy this kind of wood because it adds to the price. But smaller pieces aren’t so bad. Darker colors tend to be more eye catching.

I have made a few of these. I used magnets to close them, small but strong magnets don’t intrupt the look of the bracelet very much.
I make these using a scroll saw so any piece of wood that is over 8” and 3/4” wide is fair game. Lots of possibilites. I have also cut individual links from an assortment of the scrap in the pile, bracelets look cool with a variety of woods used. Just be careful when trying to sand them, it can be difficult to get them all sanded to the same size when you have different hardnesses.

OK, I will try to suggest to my wife to wear something like this instead of gold bracelet .I know I would accept it. For me wood is more beautifull than gold.
