I first have to thank fellow LJ Mike Fritz for his inspiration in making this design. I was after the “cute” look for this house. Another thing I wanted was a staircase where dolls could actually seem to move up them. The Cedar limb just looked right there too. Wall paper, wains-coating and the kitchen just seemed to add to the build. The friends that picked it up will take it to NC for Christmas for their 5 year old granddaughter. Now they asked for furniture. All I said is …...........I’ll see.

Yea, you’re probably on the hook for the furniture. You don’t want someone else putting their stuff in your house.
Really nice project. I’m sure she’ll like it.

Doug,
The house is beautiful! You did a nice job on it. I know you will most likely make a few items of furniture to add to its interior. I’m surprised that you didn’t make a few small trucks and a garage to put them in. Just kidding! I think your house will be a huge hit with the little one just the way it is.

If that 5yr old would have been looking up at you with that request, we know the answer would have been a
definite yes. Very nice looking doll house, with a great interior and roof. Thank you for sharing.
