Just in time for the Halloween season! I designed this ‘un-welcome’ plaque out of 1/2 inch oak. While it can be left natural color, as in the second picture, I chose to stain it using some acrylic mediums. I used the DecoArt Weathered Wood crackle medium on the skull (pic 3) as well as a metallic glaze on the keys. For the bat, I used the Staining and Antiquing gel and a pearlescent black paint to give the oak an old and weathered look, with a slight shimmer. The piece measures approximately 16” wide from tip to tip of the bat wings. Thanks for looking!

very nice design! The crackle on the skull and metallic finish on the keys are excellent.

Holiday?? . . . what holiday?? I thought this would be the perfect ‘all season’ plaque for some. ;)

Very cute! I’d hang that over my door year around to warn off the undesirables.
