Pie Safe

This is a pie safe that was made for a woman at our church. The walnut was over 12’ long and over 15 inches wide. It had an estimated age of 40-50 years, having been stored in a barn. This is the type of walnut you only see once in a lifetime. I only wish I had more of it.

Beautiful piece. You definitely need to post more of your work.

Nice safe. Actually, walnut boards like that are still available from the more serious wood sellers out there. I got a bunch from A&M Wood Specialty.
