Completed in 1988 to the mid 90’s. Woodsmith featured an issue about making picture frame stock on your router table. I made many different frames over the years using their ideas and a limited number of router bits. The first one is cherry and walnut. The second one is oak. My late wife took a matting class and we subsequently bought mat cutting equipment and a framing vise. We enjoyed making the frame stock and doing the matting ourselves. It added a personal touch to our pictures. The third picture is a bunch of simple oak frames with pictures of our Alaska adventures.

I remarried and my current wife has gladly taken on the mat cutting duties!

Thanks, you have a lot of flexibility when making frame stock from scratch. With all the exotic species available today, a person could have fun with these projects. I followed the link…good article.
