Completed 1990. I made a number of these bongo boxes. The case is ash with a padauk top. The various slats cut into the top make different notes. The sound is real mellow even with a two-year-old kid beating on it. The best sound is superballs glued to a dowel rod.
Oh yeah, the rocking chair was a kit from Garrett Wade. It’s a kid magnet…
