Shaker Hall Bench

Completed 1990. This bench is a Woodsmith project and features keyed tenon joinery. The wedge-shaped keys lock the piece together and the whole thing can be disassembled with two firm taps of a hammer. I made two of these for gifts and helped a good friend make one. The bench is a good piece of furniture to take your shoes on and off. I need to make one for myself…
