if anybody read my blog entry a while ago, i said i was building a clipboard from walnut and an elm frame.
i decided just to go with the walnut. I went to lee valley and got one of those clipboard clip things.
for my dad for his birthday, he does lots of crosswords and used to use a magazine as a back.
I really like the grain on the walnut.
sanded to 320 and finished with 3 coats of gloss polyurethane.

Thanks for looking,
Mark

Cool grain : )
What size is the board , how thick is it and what did you fasten the clip with ?
Thanks

Grain is really beautiful. May have to make a couple of these.

Sometimes, some of life’s simplest needs converge at practical & elegance. Nice work!

I broke my clipboard the other day when I threw it in a fit of rage at my pickup. It was one of those open up storage type ones. Yours is much cooler.
