I have been trying other things in my shop and picked up a book called Box by Box and made these. Nothing special just a couple from some scrap wood I had. The larger and lighter one with no lid is Beech and the other is a Mahogany with a Walnut lid. Nothing special just the first 2 I made from start. I used hardboard for the bottoms of both boxes and the splines are made with a home made jig I got from the book. Trying to expand my knowledge and skills into different areas.
I had help on one box I made it was an Urn for my SIL from one of our members here (Eddy) and with knowledge learned from him yjos os where I ended up. They are not perfect and have some small flaws but otherwise I am very happy with the finished product so far.

Good Looking Boxes…. Only way to refine is to do exactly what your doing and the book you have is excellent…. Now you will only get better and better with your own ideas. Keep em coming.

Nothing wrong with those boxes. The miters and splines look perfect from here.
