I finally built the shed I needed to get all the “non shop stuff” a home of it’s own. 3 days to complete – the first day I layed the patio stones for a foundation, and built the floor. Day two some friends stopped over and we had it built & shingled in approx. 8 hours, with a mid day break to feed on a pot of chili and criticize each others craftsmanship. Day three I painted it, and filled it with rakes, mower, snowblower, etc – everything that does not shape wood !!
This was LONG overdue !!
It is a prefab kit I bought at Lowes – 12’ x 8’ “Stratford” they call it. It came in a shrink wrapped 4’x8’ package. All parts are precut including prehung doors with full length hinges & hardware. I only had to buy and cut few extra 2×4’s – they include material for 24” center floor joists, and I prefer 16” – other than that, it is not a bad kit for the money.
Now the LOML will plant flowers or something around it, but my work is basically done.

Did I mention I finally have my shop all to myself !!
