Project Information

These doors hang from a sliding overhead track and bypass each other. The door in the rear is held near the wall by a rear mounted sliding dovetail and the door in front rides in a small track made from a piece of hickory glued to the floor with an "L" bracket attached. They are definitely an improvement over the boring folding doors that used to be there. The project was made from Rustic Hickory and is sealed with Black Walnut Danish Oil. The SketchUp plan for these doors can be found here: http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=eb877a3c5760dd5ceb35708421c9f237

Really beautiful. Are they closet doors?

Monte: Yes, they are covering two closets in a bedroom. There used to be inset folding doors in their place.

Wonderful looking doors, and while you could not access both closets at once with this setup, I also think it
looks way better that the folding door setup. If the beautiful lady agrees, I may have to borrow this idea
for our bedroom, without the rustic look. Thank you for sharing.
