Rose trellis -- First Project Rose trellis -- First Project Rose trellis -- First Project Click the pictures to enlarge them

Here is my first project (some 4 years ago): a trellis for “New Dawn” rose. It was made from sticks and a partial trellis bought from Kmart. All I did was to attach the partial trellis with screws to the sticks. It hold up surprisingly well for 4 years. Painted with the same exterior paint as my house.

Alin,

That is a beautiful climber that you have grown. The rose does carry quite of bit of weight and obviously your trellis is supporting it. Well done.

Thanks for sharing.

Really does make the house more inviting, for sure it’s a compliment. The plant seems to be thriving as well!

Napaman: It took only 3 years to grow this big. In the first year it was filling the 8×8 trellis.

MIke: The rose is vicious. I severely cut my hand a couple of weeks ago.
