This is a cool story! Jim is a friend of mine who purchases burl from me. I gave him this old dry cracked up 12×12 x 6 block of Madrone burl. I told him to see if he could do anything with it. Unexpectedly a week later or so he gave it back to me as a present.
Thank You Jim. Your are the best!

Remember everyone if you have not signed up for the Oregon Burls give away we give some nice burl away every month.

Wow! Nice burl. I love the grain patterns on one side of the burl.

Awesome piece of madrone. The stress cracks are very cool, especially for those of us who have seen what happens to madrone when it dries.

Beautiful. The stress cracks are very attractive. Great work, Jim.

Great story and a great gift. She’s a honey!
Have you seen the news about the Boston Burl thief. Couldn’t wait for the tree to come down.

Greg,
