This is a chest of drawers in a Batman theme, built at the same time as the nightstand earlier. The two were built totally different from each other. This chest is more of a traditional design with custom pulls added.

The custom pulls are a simple look, but were very time consuming. Each had to be hand cut, both the bat and the oval. They were put together using a carriage bolt and stacked nuts to space the bat off the oval.

All the colors used were a pigmented lacquers.

This project was completed in August 2012.

Really nice batman drawers! One question, why batman?

The finish is a black lacquer with a couple coat of black under coater. That produces a very good finish.
