Good day fellow L.J. here we have my favorite wood combo in another one of the bevel style box. Black Cherry from Eastern P.A and B.E. Maple from the U.P. of Mich., the finish is a Natural Danish Oil and French Polish. The last pic is a stack of future boxes in waiting til free time pops up. I found it most time efficient to make plenty of blanks ahead to save on time and energy consumption in the shop. Some will go to shows and some will be given as gifts here in the near future…thanks for viewing hope you enjoy….BC

She’s a beauty Wilson. I really like the lines of this box. The lid is essentially a raised panel and suits the design of the box so well, particularly with the birds eye maple stripe in the middle. Excelsior!

Wilson, great work as always….. I love the wood and colors. I really like stripe down the middle. I’m kinda jealous though, I havent been able to get in the shop much lately. The weather out here in Southern California has been in the high 90’s and low 100’s … Thinking of putting air in the shop. We have a 8 KW solar panel system being put on our home right now so why not? LOL

Hope all is well buddy!

Nice work, as always. It has details that give it a more finished look than my plainer boxes. I was thinking the BEM was a little plain, but then I saw pic #3. Nice to see a little preview of future work also. I have been slowly finishing 9 jewelry boxes.

I agree that is a great wood combination! And your design really adds to the overall beauty. I love your signature taper on your boxes.
