"One Rotten Apple"

Apple wood
Approx 12” in diameter
Heavily spalted and worm ravaged applewood. I recieved this wood when I bought my first house. When ordering tv service from one of the major sattelite companies, an installer was sent to my house. Walking through my basement which served as my shop, he commented on my assortment of tools. After much conversation, he mentioned an apple tree that had fallen in his yard 2 years previous due to disease.

This is one of my earlier pieces. I do not remember the finish type, but probably spray poly.
