I have some purple heart sitting around waiting to be put to work around the shop. I chose to make this maple box to show off the beautiful purple color of this wood. I’m a bit behind on my posting, this box was finished in mid August 2012. It was quickly filled with jewelry somehow even before I could snap some pics!

Nice job on the construction of this one. The way you routed out for the lid still baffles me (and I have watched Andy’s blog repeatedly).

I love the gentle curves and the inlay in the top. Looks great.

Be very careful building these boxes as they quickly become addicting.

Great job

The box turned out REALLY good. I agree with Arlin, the inlay in the top really caught my eye. Great job.

Thanks all! @ Cwdance1….Too late already on the 12 step box addict program. @gfadvm I’ll try to remember to shoot a few pics of the routing process for future reference.
