Leopard Wood and Curly Maple Computer Desk

My wife asked me to build a small, low profile stand where she could set her computer, printer, and speakers while she is working in her craft room. The idea was not to have a desk to work at, but a small area to set her computer equipment out of the way of whatever project she was working on at her main work area in the center of the room.

The legs are Leopard wood and the shelves are curly Maple. Watch out for splinters with the Leopard wood! The plugs are ebony.

the figuring in that maple makes all sorts of giddy. gotta love that stuff

That is absolutely beautiful! The angled legs and joinery are perfect but it’s the wood combination that makes this a masterpiece. Even the finish appears perfect. Great job!

Nice desk. You have some fine wood in that project! two of my favorites but I can’t afford them!!

I agree these are probably some of my favorite woods combined together…I loved not having to stain anything to get the contrast. Let the wood do the work! Thanks for the comments!
