Lots of work on this one, particularly since the side rails warped when cut resulting in everything else being somewhat misaligned. Constructed of poplar: vertical posts are face-glued 3/4” stock, trimmed to 1-1/4” square; side rails are connected to vertical posts with mortise and tenon joints; foot and head boards are connected with screws, holes plugged. Two coats of primer, 3-4 coats of satin acrylic latex enamel.
Learned a lot with this project – mostly things not to do again! But our granddaughter is very pleased so that was what is important!!!

This is a nice project for your grand daughter. And it looks good to me. If she is pleased with it then that is all that really matters.
