This is a TV stand/ entertainment center i built for my Grandma. This was my first TV stand and i think it came out pretty well. The drawers are dovetailed and slide with a dado cut into the bottom of each drawer that fits into a tongue aligned in the space. I cut the raised panel upright on my tablesaw this the blade at an angle. Im happy with the way it came out.

You are right, it came out very well. Really nice piece of furniture. I’m sure your grandmother will love it.

Pine? I honestly didn’t think you could make a piece of furniture that nice with pine! Shows what I know (not much.) Excellent job!

Excellent craftsmanship. Is the conept yours? The arch serves two purposes. structure and form. Your Grandmother should be proud to have this piece. The cutting of a raised panel with a table saw is a geat feeling. I remember when I did that as that was what I had.
Have you considered this in hardwood?

Ok it goes against my grain to paint any kind of wood…BUT this turned out very nice and you can still see the grain thru the paint. Or is it stained black? Very nice job either way.

I was wondering the same. Is that VERY dark stain or paint? Either way I really like it. I’m not sure why, but my OCD is really kicking in when I look at the sideways door. I just want to reach through the screen and flip it around. I think it’s a great idea though and it looks cool.
