Thanks to some great help from the Lumberjocks forums, I finally finished the changing table! It is poplar, baltic birth plywood, stained with Kona in an attempt to match a store-bought crib we haven’t received yet. The joinery is dowels, pocket screws and the side frames are my first attempt at mortise and tenon joints. The intaglio of the drawers is bright pink. I turned the feet on a mini-lathe which my wife got me for Fathers Day soon after we found out she was pregnant. The pulls are from Etsy; the baskets, changing pad and liners are from Pottery Barn Kids (as well as the owl). The little lady is due November 18th, on my wife’s birthday no less, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome our first child into the world. The next project will be a set of toy wood tools for our mini lady woodworker!
