I made this toy box for my daughter’s first birthday. It is made from free plans from Kreg’s website. It was constructed from 3/4 inch MDF and select pine. It was painted to match her bedroom. I wanted a box with no lid because I thought she was too little to keep from hurting herself somehow. A very simple project for someone wanting a toy box that will hold up.

Great idea, and a very nice box. As usual, that beautiful little girl is having as much fun playing with the box as
the toys that go in it. Thank you for sharing.

I was looking for hinges that would keep little fingers safe but no lid at all seems like a much better option. thanks
