Haunted Library

Halloween is big at my house espescially when the kids were small but it got to be even more fun when they were big enough to do the scaring instead of being scared. So when my friend, who has a second house on his property, that he keeps decorated for Halloween year round, offered me a room to do whatever I wanted, I suggested a haunted library.
It’s easier to see the effects when the lights are out, but you wouldn’t be able to see the pictures at all, so it’s lights on for LJ.
The bookcase “floats” with lights and smoke all around it, with spot lights highlighting the important places, for instance the mechanical monkey that screams at you when you walk by, or the books that have a threaded rod running the entire length of the bookshelf with cams that make the books “float” off the shelf towards you. Not to mention the sexy librarian that guides you through. There was also a compressed air bomb that would go off at the touch of a button in the control room, emptying 5 gals of high pressure air in an instant and aimed right at your feet. Woodworking isn’t always about hard work, sometimes it’s just for the fun of it! Happy Halloween!

Which section has the secret door behind it where the mummy comes out?

I like the feel of it! I can only imagine how haunted this is sans light!

That’s awesome! You had me at “haunted” :D

That would scare my kids into good behavior…. well, almost. :/

I really like the haunted library, great ideas there.

Nothing says fun like Rattlesnakes and a haunted house.
Wish I was coming down in Oct. I could visit your haunted house and take in the San Antonio Rattlesnake Festival.
We stay just down the road at Cypress Lakes just north of Lakeland on 98.
