Crotch Honey

Project by trifern posted 581 days ago 690 views 2 times favorited 18 comments Add to Favorites Watch

This is Honey Locust crotch wood. It measures 3.5” x 10.5” and is finished with a wipe-on poly. This was a tough one due to the varying densities of the wood. I never did get this piece completely balanced. Thanks for looking.

Trifern,

This is a beautiful bowl. I love the grain and figure on this one.

Thanks for the post.

Gosh, I’m in tears that wood is so beautiful. Balanced? Bah. The perfection was already in the wood…and you’ve become it’s best friend…exceptional.

That truly is beautiful wood. To think that it only has poly wiped on it. Amazing piece. Wood can really make us look good at what we do. Who cares that it’s not balanced.

I tried your link to woodworkers shop but didn’t find any bowl blanks.

Where do they hide them?
