This is a little late, but better late than never.

Back in June my daughter wanted to make a present for Mommy, and decided on a trophy.

Since my daughter likes to work with me at my bench and loves to figure out the hand tools we made a woodworking project made completely with hand tools. We did buy a pre-cut star. Minus some galloot points for us.

One proud Daddy here.

The project is only the second most important thing here. Your time with your daughter is all that really matters.

Oh to see the joy in a child’s eyes. :) And that smile. Little minds, soaking up learning like a sponge. Cherish this time you have together. A bond that no woodworking glue(not even Hot Hide Glue) could even compare. Very nice project! :)

My wife’s an only child and some of her best memories are of she and dad in his shop building things.

My wife received the birthday present, but I always thought I was the one who got the better end of the deal.

Thanks for all the compliments.

Reminds me of Trace Adkins’ song “She Thinks We’re Just Fishing”. It could easily be “She Thinks We’re Just Woodworking” . . . Certainly time well spent!
