Hi everyone i am back with another one of my Extreme Birdhouses . This house is 6 ft wide 75” high and made from 100 year old barn wood . I built this one in exchange for a couple truck loads of barnwood for a friend of mine in the city . This bird mansion sits 9 ft in the air . I didn,t have anything to do with mounting this one but my friend Jim said it took him 2 hours with a few of his friends . He put it yesterday and there are already birds landing on it and it is drawing lots of attention from neighbors .

That is unbelievable. This guy has a nice home to have it at too. What kind of birds might make this their to this new home? It sure will be nice watching them so close like this. I guess once a year he will have to get up there like he did to put it up so he can clean it out to ready for more birds?

I wonder if other neighbors will want one too, I bet they will.

John,

As always these are beautiful birdhouses. I wondered how they were going to get mounted. My neighbor has a martin house (much smaller, of course) that she mounts on a telescoping aluminum pole that is about 12 feet in the air. I would have guessed that one of these would need a crane to mount. :) (Or several strong backs).

Thanks for the post. I really enjoy looking at these. (Just do ask me to help mount them).

Wow! You may want to add an elevator on your next one so you can give tours. Great job.

Thanks that answers all my questions. That’s not bad if you only need to clean it out every 5 years.

I always enjoy seeing each new one you make.

John, what a Super Sized birdhouse. You have to be the TRUMP of birdhouses, have you thought of doing one of the Whitehouse or Lincoln Memoria, Or maybe the Taj Mahal. Keep building them the birds need a good home also.

Hi John;

I’m beginning to think you were a builder of log cabins in a previous life. Otherwise, where would you get all the experience you obviously have in constructing these structures? LOL

Great work once again.

I’ll bet his neighbours are saying the same thing—that they can’t stop looking at it. They are probably arranging get-togethers so they can show all their friends as well!!!

I agree with Debbie. If I had one of your houses near by I would keep staring at it too. I would try to get an invite too so I could watch the birds.
