This box is made from walnut my grandma gave that I mentioned in my blog Wood from the Past
I gave grandma this box for her birthday, I had asked her if there was anything I could make her from the walnut and she didn’t have any thing she wanted built. So I came up the idea to make a box to hold my grandpa’s Bible in. This meant a lot to me since the walnut tree was cut down by grandpa on his farm a long time ago.
I finished the box with boiled linseed oil, 4 coats of shellac and a wax finish.
