I built this podium as a graduation present for my niece. She recently graduated from Texas A&M and is currently teaching in the Goose Creek School District in Baytown, Texas. When we delivered it to her house, she was surprised and delighted. She had no idea that I was building this for her. It was my wife’s idea and it turned out just as I had envisioned it.

There are more pics of the finished project as well as construction pics in my blog. Check it out here.

Hope you like it.
Mike

Very clean looking. Beautiful construction.

Great job, Mike. This is professionnal grade for sure. Curiously the timing is good since I was thinking about building something like it to be used as a laptop stand in the kitchen. Yours is great inspiration for me. Thanks for posting.

Best,

Serge

My niece sent me a picture of her podium in action. That is her Elmo projecting the lesson onto the board.
