This is the first and only board that I have sold the customer gave me a piece of mahogany and said build me a board, and this is what I came up with. I hope you like it, he did.

VERY nice board, great color combination.

Looks like you cut the strips with a ‘flip’ in mind to make a checkerboard pattern, bet it would have spectacular!

Smitty you are correct, I did intend to flip every other strip but the grain of all the woods matched so well , I just couldn’t do it.

The board is great; I assume you made the groove near the edge with a router. How did you get the clean routed grooves at the corners?

Mike it is the router for the grooves and I nearly wore off my finger tips sanding the burns out of the groove, I guess its time for an up grade in the router bit selection.
