This is a changing table that was built for a customer. They wanted something that could “grow” with the child and be used when the child was older. To do this we stayed away from the traditional changing table style and came up with this one. We made it to where the frame that holds the changing pad could be removed and be used a type of dresser later on.
The color looks like a black but is actually a very dark dye stain base followed by a standard wiping stain and then two coat of lacquer.
Here is a chest that went with it.

Hi Chris,
This is a nice idea. And you have executed a nice build with these pieces.
Thanks for the post.

Well done. Like the idea of changing the “changing” bed out. They can use the piece for along time.

Chris, Outstanding piece of furniture! My son will be one this weekend, I really would have liked to have a changing table as nice as this one. Looking at similar models at the baby stores I found their quality to be poor especially for the price they ask. It’s good to see that someone still make REAL furniture for children. This will most definitely be on the ‘to build’ list as my family continues to grow :-)
Job well done, keep up the excellent work :-)
