This board is a small board. It is made of individual red oaks pieces. I did not stain this wood, instead I used the grain pattern and alternated them for the separate squares. Again this board is 100% recycled. Thrown away scrap pieces of red oak are used for the squares and cedar for the base.

Looks good. You should also try cutting boards. Same principle just different finish.
