I made this bench back in May for a co-worker’s parents. All the joints are motise and tennons with titebond 3 and screws to reinforce them. Obviously you have some issues to deal with when you are working with treated lumber but I stacked this in my building for about two months to let the water leech off. I did not have any warp with these.

This is gorgeous.

Do you think your joints will hold when the wood settles in at 11 or 12 percent moisture? That would be a good blog topic.

Russ,

I think so, with the exception of the back stiles all the other joints are re-enforced with titebond and 3 inch deck screws. I hole plugged them all so you can’t see where but even the cross supports are toe screwed.

Treated lumber never looked so good! Ya done good here. What did you finish it with?

I didn’t do the finishing and these pictures were actually emailed to me after the customer stained it but I suggest Olympic Maximum.
