September, 2012—“Big Horn” was the first description to come to mind. This comes from a multi-dimensional glue-up of cypress cut-offs. Two drawers made on the band saw. Oak half-moon handles.

To add some whimsy I stained the cypress with water-based “cinnamon” from our regional Woodcraft store, and followed with multiple coats of gloss polyurethane applied with a brush.

I really like the way this one leans n flows at the same time. Nicely done.

Art

I love the shape and flow. My personal taste I do not care for high gloss. Well done

I like the design Art…that’s why making bandsaw boxes is so much fun…your mind is your limit. I finally got my band saw rebuilt and back in to making these boxes…

Strange, Art, since you usually finish your boxes so well, but this one looks rough to me.

Thank you all for your comments. I was not really sold on the high gloss finish, and then the photo doesn’t make it look any better. :-) So I top coated it with clear satin. Here’s a new photo with the satin finish.
