I had production pieces for this work, but the pictures have somehow vanished.
This was made for a friend heading back home to work at the Naval Academy. He wanted to make a statement to the students about maintaing uniform standard so I made him this shoe shine box. Carving out the foothold took most of the time.
Because he is an old school kind of Navy guy, I purposely offset the hinges so it makes a creaking sound as it opens.
