This was my first attempt at bar stools. a few hiccups here and there and lots of wood putty to cover those hiccups.
I used 1 1/2 inch maple dowels for the legs, plywood for the base, and carved into some leftover 2 inch cherry for the seat. my next door neighbor allowed me to use his wife’s butt as a seat model. :)

Those are some nice stools and as far as the neighbor loaning you his wife’s butt…... well, I’m not going there!

Would that be the inside or outside measurements / shape ?

Your first picture scared me as being the most uncomfortable stool I’d ever seen , until I realized you were adding a top to the “pegs” : ) LOL Keep up the good work !
