My uncle had asked if I could make him a nameplate with a fish on it.
Well I knew that a fellow carver on the CW site had a nice one, so I purchased the file.
I layed out the name and file and let it rip, I presented it to him and his reaction was
great! I didn’t put any finish on it, because he never said whether he wanted to paint it or stain it.
He was totally pleased.

EDIT: I had my cousin paint the fish scene and I finished the name and stained and clear coated it

That is a cool carving… Is that basswood? And just wondering about the size??? Good work.
