This is a set of band saw boxes of walnut and maple.
Finish is a 50/50 mix of Dark Walnut Watco and Marine varnish.
The base is meant to represent rippling water.

That is a beautiful piece. A great design to mount the pair on a base. My granddaughter might call those “mean eyes”.

Very nice! Makes me want to work with curves. So far I’ve not made anything that was not square. I did describe my latch mechanism in reply to your comment on my boxes earlier today.
