This was an experiment sign I did. It is on PLYWOOD. (Oak-ply)
A couple of other ‘sites’ I follow~~thought it would be a disaster. (I had the same concerns.)
But, it worked…and kind of well~
Then folks said, ” well, if you do do it, hand paint it.”~~~So, I sprayed it (spray ink)...and it worked.
I cut it out of a scrap board, then I cut the sign shape in the scroll and bandsaw.
The finish on it is Boiled Linseed. I was going to do the dog, but thought it looked cool without the dog being colored~
Thoughts/suggestions/critiques?

Let me make clear, I am ALL ABOUT critique~ All about it~~I have A LOT of learning to do (A LOT), and you folks have taught me a lot and I except to still learn a lot from fellers. I welcome it.
But, Homie dont play ignorant comments….and I will not ‘passively’ let them roll off. I will let you know HOW ignorant your comment is…
If my sign isnt your cup-o-tea….cool. Feel free to look at the craftsmanship and not the topic. That is what it
is about….why I joined this site.
I dont make, “passive aggressive” comments….and when I see them….I will ALWAYS call bullshit.
(Go ahead, I know you are going too, count how many, ” ’s ” I left out)

There was a person in a neighborhood years ago that had a couple of mean pit bulls that terrorized neighbors…they made good target practice for someone.

I think leaving the head unfinished was a great idea. It gives it a 3d look, makes the head stand out. Good job. The plywood looks like Cherry not oak :)

Surprised to see such clean cuts in plywood!
And agree with grosa – looks like cherry ply. ;)
Spray ink? What have I missed here?

@ Greg, you should blame the owners, not the dogs~
@Karen, it is spray ink. Marsh Spray Ink.
Thanks folks~

Know the feelin Dust when someone sees my dog they automatically assume shes gonna rip them a new one. But the truth is she is a big baby in a large frame. I try to tell people that the reason pit bulls are mean is because of there owners not the dogs themselves. Best friend for life
