Maple Keepsake Box with Blue and Silver Dyed Veneer

This is another box using dyed veneers. The maple box is approximately 4.5” by 4.5” with a height of 3.75” finished with a few coats of shellac and wax.

Its novel to see blue in woodwork. Here its nicely complimented with the grey, sitting very comfortably in it’s Maple surround. It has subtlety. As you might gather I like this box.

Looks great. I haven’t attempted using mitered corners on a box yet. I think it’s time. Thanks for the inspiration.
