I trained under Nyal Thomas in Gold Bar, Wa.

Never intended to do the typical log carving bears but hope to utilize what was taught with integrity.

I’ve always enjoyed the chainsaw art. Watched a few times as it was being done and it’s amazing how someone can look at a block of wood and see an eagle or bear inside – then carve the animal to free it.

Those are wonderful carvings. I just don’t have the ability to see beyond the surface of the wood either. For those that do, and can bring this inner beauty to the surface, I am really appreciative of seeing this talent expressed as you have done in these projects.

Thanks for sharing.
