I carved this bear wiht a chainsaw and finished with powr grinder and sander.
The drum and beating stick was made specifically for this bears paw.
He’s celebrating the salmon spawn as depicted in the drum head.

I have seen similar dancing bears done by the Inuit but this one is mine. I really love the spawning salmon motif on the drumhead. I plan on doing a large (blank cant of wood is 36” diameter by 18” and weighs 400+ pounds) carving based on this theme.
