This 15” diameter x 4” deep plaque is carved out of Purpleheart and was a bear to do.
The chrome plated sun rays are off set from the bottom of the carving which has a light embedded in it to shine off of the chrome.
Embedded in the surface is abalone and copper, traditional material in the Haida style.
