Kitty Litter Cabinet

I didnt build this per say. I had a oak base cabinet given to me and decided it would be perfect to conceal our cat litter. This naturaly calms the odor and keeps my pesky dogs out of it. The cabinet has a shelf in the back which I used as a guideline to cut a hole in the side. I installed a .3w night light that stays on for the cat to see at any time. The drawer is used for all animal items such as flea and tick drops, tags, leashes, etc. We use the tote next to the box for her food and it also serves as a platform for the cat to enter on the side. I would definately recommend this to anyone who has a cat. Ten thumbs up.

EDIT: added some pictures without the camera flash to show the use of the light. Not bright enough to run up the electricity bill but bright enough to serve its purpose.

Good looking bathroom!

I think I need to build one of these for the cat that adopted us a few months back. He sleeps in my garage/shop, has his litter box there, and his food dishes are there too! He has essentially taken over the garage and I need my shop back.

Do you have any drawing or more photographs?

Old novice – No drawings as I was just trying to find use with materials I had. I added a couple more photos I had. Just to show the use of the light mainly. Any box will do. Check Craigslist. People are always renovating kitchens so a sturdy base cabinet shouldnt be hard to come across.

Great idea! As for the light, remember cats can see really well in the dark. :-)
