This is a simple little box I made some years ago. At the time I had just aquired some woodworking tools and had the itch to make some sawdust. I had previously made a box for my shop and wanted to make something to as a gift. This was a valentines gift to my wife. I tried to freehand the mortises for the hinges lol. I destroyed them. This again is one of those projects you can look back on and laugh. I thought it was the best thing since sliced bread at the time :) Always enjoy projects of the past.

The frame in the lid is a nice touch. I think that I’d have used a smaller link brass chain. That looks kind of clunky on your nice box.

Yeah, bibb. I cut a few links from a junk screen door latch for the chain. This was several years ago and I was just excited to complete a project! Its one of those old crappy jobs you do that you just cant throw away. It collects dust and pocket change now. And yes, Angie, my wife still loves it :)
