Someone gave me this cigar band and it is way too big to use as a pen.
So, I made a container that is about 5/8” on the inside. The outside is the size of a quarter, which it is sitting on in the left image. This is claro walnut with a purpleheart center section. It started out as a 1” square stock and I didn’t take much off. I liked the cigar band so much I just had to make something to put it on.

I was looking at the router jig you made for the lathe.
Really nice idea. I have been contemplating an x-cross vise or a dremel setup for similar but your idea would do more. I like it.
