this is a jewelry box or stash box, that a friend had asked me to design for this past valentines day. I forget the size. It is again made from salv. RW and pine, the inside is red velvet stitka spruce. the stand is “mtn. mahogany” ? not sure that is a localized name. Pretty sure it’s a form of mtn. or western juniper. (very, very intense wood; both to look at and to work with). sliding dovetail so the box is removable, splined joints, and a pull to match the stand. Now this is what I love to make! so please enjoy. I did.

Rustic way of keeping priced collections. Lucky friend! Not everyone gets to have something like this!
