I am looking to get better at smaller projects and trying to create different designs.

This is three pieces of Red Oak that I laminated, and cut on the bandsaw. I beveled the top edges, and the whole top is on a slight bevel. I put some small hinges on the back. It is stained with a Red Zinfandel, and finished with a water-based poly.

Any thoughts, I would be happy to hear.

Very well done. The woods’ grain and the way you kept the flow really highlights the box. Like the slight bevel to the top too. You did good!!

jakyapur, thanks for mentioning the bevel. It is hard to see in the photo. The chamfered edges aren’t, but the tops bevel is.
