It’s been awhile since I’ve posted a project, but here is a bench I designed and built a few months ago. The back is held on using black pipe. The second picture is of the bottom of the seat showing that the pipe is attached to the bottom by pipe flanges. The photography doesn’t do the QS sycamore justice. The grain is pretty amazing. I have more pictures posted here: http://watchmemake.com/sinnwork/mudroom-bench

Looks good! It sure suits the location in the last photo.

Beautiful design and craftsmanship. Pipe flanges are genius, and the legs put me in mind of a pair of Jorgenson clamps….very fitting.

A unique design that worked well and some beautiful sycamore. Is that more black pipe between the legs?
