Hi all,

This is a Servery come room divider that I made from several Jarrah coffee table tops I had lying around. It’s 91cm high,140cm long and 35cm wide. The finish is Tung Oil burnished into the wood by wet sanding to high grits, then wiping with a soft cloth. The finish is food safe, heat resistant and liquid (hot and cold) resistant. The unit can be cleaned using normal kitchen spray on cleaners with no deleterious effects! There is no Poly nor wax covering the Oil finish.

Regards,

Rob

Is that one thick slab of wood for the table top, Rob? I looks very sturdy as well as beautiful! I have not done any wet sanding of Tung Oil up to now, but I willl on my next project. Thanks for the “teach”.

Wow! I like everything about this, your choice of wood, stain and especially the subject. A divider gives you so many options. Cool!
