I made these end tables from plans purchased at Woodcraft. I made them EXACTLY how they said – except for the wood…the dimensions…some of the joinery…the finish…the hidden compartments…well, you get the idea.
They’re made from cherry with hard male drawer sides. Everything was finished with a few coats of shellac. The tops were over-coated with a few more coats of wipe-on poly and some paste wax.
I think the LOML is pleased with them. They’ll replace some very ugly mismatched ones we’re using now.

Great job and I’m sure she is well please with them! Well built and beautiful too. I made a white oak pair two years ago for my oldest son’s apartment.

I have always wondered if the Woodcraft plans are worth anything. Have you used any other of their plans?

Those are beautiful tables. I made a couple similar based on plans I drew up from a photo I saw online. There’s enough difference between yours and mine you might want to look at them. http://lumberjocks.com/projects/61911
Your craftsmanship is great. Love those tables.

@Dinger – I’d love to see them when they’re done.
@donutslayer – I found the plans to be pretty thorough. I only found one error in the and it was a mis-labeled part. They were easy to follow and the cutlist was pretty good – assumiong your dimensions are the same as the plan’s.
Have your say...
